There are a wide range of employers around the UK within which you can train to become a CA. The work experience will provide you with the professional knowledge, skills, experience and attributes you will need once qualified as a CA. There are around 1000 vacancies with hundreds of different types of employers UK-wide.
Only ICAS authorised employers can offer CA training.
Number of vacancies : Our plan is to recruit three students and for them to spend one year on a rotational basis in each of the following businesses: Internal Audit based in the Plc office in Glasgow with significant travel around the world to some of the 90 countries in which Aggreko operates, Manufacturing facility based at our plant in Dumbarton, UK Hire finance office in Dumbarton.

Description of Organisation
Aggreko is the world leader in the rental of temporary power, temperature control
and oil free air solutions, operating on a global basis. Equipment for hire
includes gas & diesel generators, loadbanks, heaters, air conditioners
and chillers for planned and emergency projects. The organisation works with
a wide variety of customers including film studios, event organisers, manufacturing
companies and local and national governments. The company has permanent operations
in 29 counties across more than 120 service centres and does business on a
project basis in another 60 countries globally.
Description of vacancy(s) offered
We are looking to recruit three graduates to join Aggreko as part of ICAS' TOPPs
scheme. Each successful candidate will spend a year working in different roles
in manufacturing, commercial operations and internal audit. In addtion, it
is hoped that each candidate will spend 3-4 months with a Big 4 accountancy
firm to gain external audit experience. Considerable focus and attention will
also be paid to each person to ensure that exams are properly prepared for.
This is a unique opportunity to gain the internationally recognised CA qualification
in a unique training environment which will enable the successful candidates
to gain the skills normally associated with post qualifying during their training
contract. This is also a great entry opportunity into one of Scotland's few
fast growing global companies.
Minimum entry requirements : Strong academic record and the inter-personal and potential leadership skills to succeed in a fast moving global business.
