As a graduate, what do you need to apply for a CA training contract?
UK degree (or overseas equivalent) in any subject. Although some employers only accept applications from graduates with an ICAS Accredited Accountancy degree, most accept those with any degree subject. Each employer will have their own additional minimum entry requirements - most will be looking for a strong academic performance both at school and university.
Exemptions
Depending on the relevance of your degree subject, you can be exempt from some of the five exams at Test of Competence. Those with ICAS Accredited Accountancy degrees may be eligible for up to five exemptions from TC.
